The 1885 Music Hall is owned and operated by a nonprofit organization.
Our mission is three-fold: to present diverse and relevant programming in music, theater, dance, and film for the enrichment of the tri-state community; to promote arts education through classes, partnerships, performing opportunities, and residencies; and to preserve and restore the historic Music Hall so that it may continue to be a vibrant performing arts center and catalyst for sustainable economic development in our area.
The Music Hall Academy, operated by a nonprofit organization, is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships for private music lessons (cello, guitar, harp, mandolin, piano, trumpet, ukulele, violin, voice) taught by qualified, professional teachers for the 2023-2024 school-year.
Students must be self-motivated, show aptitude or have previous experience on the instrument and demonstrate financial need.
